An UnBELIZEable adventure

Wade Roberts Plumbing recently partnered with  King's Ransom Foundation  to help build an orphanage in  BELIZE for the  King's Children's Home. Building relationships with a group of amazing kids who have overcome unbelievable circumstances is at the heart of this mission.  The Roberts family went in June of 2011 to connect with this organization personally and lay the foundation for the project.  They are honored to work alongside other entrepreneurs from all over the world to see these kids in a home that is safe, and to provide more room for more children to be a part of an amazing family.

Wade Roberts knows the value of clean water.

“Several years ago, I travelled to the third world in Asia, to countries where you can't even trust the quality of the bottled water. I fell in love with India in particular and the incredible people that I met on my journey.  As a plumber, I saw the terrible conditions that people were living in, and I wanted to do something to make a difference in their villages.  I saw that these people desperately need clean drinking water, and the education to teach them how to deal with the issues they face.  Because of my experience overseas, I am passionate about helping out this situation of astronomical proportions. I want my work here in Canada to have a direct impact in Asia, making a difference in their quality and length of life.  I do not take my birthplace for granted and I will use my freedom to work hard for people who do not have the opportunity that we have in North America.”  – Wade Roberts.

As a company we have partnered with  Gospel for Asia BioSand Water Filter projects  to provide access to safe drinking water through household BioSand Water Filters.  This year we are going to join forces with  Kings Ransom project  and fly volunteer members of our team to Belize to provide plumbing for a new orphanage they are building there.  Our goal is increase our sales so that we can support a new orphan each month through  GFA Bridge of Hope  and  Kings Ransom.

Our passion as a company is the   BioSand Water Filter : anBioSand Water Filter used in Belize by Wade Roberts Plumbingadaption of a slow-sand filtration system that was developed by a former professor from the University of Calgary, Dr. David Manz.

These filters remove water-borne bacteria, viruses, protozoa and many other organisms that can cause diseases such as Cholera, Typhoid Fever and Amoebic Dysentery. These filters also strain out particles and organic matter that can cause cloudy water, unpleasant taste, color and odor. But almost more importantly, they provide hope and life to thousands of villages throughout the 3rd world. We are excited about this opportunity and invite you to join us, for more information about how you can help please contact us.
